Emmanuel Louisnord Desir’s Rough Ways of the Delicate Ones presents eight new bronzes, titled after Baruch 4:26. Armored figures merge bodies, creatures, machines and symbols: a resonator crowned with thorned horns stands on Timberland boots, while a car exhaust system tangles with chains and ghoulish entities. Using machinery as a metaphor for social value, Desir explores metamorphosis, endurance and what survives pressure.
