ROYGBIV is an exhibition of new sculptures by Evan Holloway, centering on large-scale aluminum head sculptures—each outfitted with a working lightbulb in place of a nose, made in each color of the visible spectrum. Simultaneously grave and whimsical, imposing and cheerful, the heads resist fixed interpretation with their idiosyncratic nature. Shown alongside new balancing tabletop sculptures in steel and ceramic, the exhibition finds Holloway communing with his most iconic form to understand what, after twenty years, still animates it.
