Salt, Sulfur, Mercury at A.I.R. Gallery, curated by Christian Camacho-Light, Taylor Bluestine, and Audrey Min, frames seventeen National Artist Members as alchemists. Organized around Paracelsus's "tria prima," the exhibition moves through salt (body, structure), sulfur (soul, transformation), and mercury (spirit, mutability) — using alchemy's logic as a framework for art's own impulse to pick at the seams of the known world and conjure something new from matter, memory, and making.
