The exhibition presents work by Los Angeles-based artist Samar Al Summary. Using video, photography, installation and text, she investigates power and patriarchy. Addressing displacement, war and economic collapse, her works consider borders, ruins and archives to reveal personal narratives of revolution and resilience.

Samar Al Summary

Samar Al Summary (born 1988) is a Saudi-American artist and writer whose videos, photographs, installations, and texts examine power, displacement, war, and cultural memory. Drawing on everyday materials and media, she reveals the structures shaping identity and diaspora. Trained in art history and at Skowhegan, she exhibits internationally, including a 2025 solo show at ICA Los Angeles.
