Anat Ebgi presents Sayang, the U.S. debut of Singaporean artist Alvin Ong. Known for his surreal paintings exploring queer diasporic identity, Ong's works capture intimate, dreamlike scenes drawn from personal rituals and cultural memory. Created between London and Singapore, his paintings balance fragility and introspection, using food, objects, and soft, shifting forms to evoke longing and connection. The title Sayang—meaning both "love" and "pity"—reflects the duality of desire and loss throughout the exhibition.
