In her first exhibition with the gallery, Clare Koury presents an installation titled, Scaling Laws For An Open EnTrainment Structure. The artist will transform the gallery into a resonant structure tuned to the Schumann Resonance, a naturally occurring electromagnetic frequency in the Earth's atmosphere that averages around 7.83 hertz. Colloquially known as the Earth’s 'heartbeat' by geologists and atmospheric scientists, these frequencies propagate through lightning strikes and are believed to have subtle yet significant impacts on human physiology, suggesting an unseen but pervasive connection between planetary rhythms and the human experience.
