Magenta Plains presents Paul Gardère: Second Nature, featuring rarely seen works from 1994–2000. Combining painting, relief, photography, and collage, Gardère draws from Haitian Vodou, Impressionism, and colonial histories to interrogate power, identity, and diaspora. Rooted in his Giverny residency, these layered compositions confront the colonial legacy while affirming Haiti’s cultural resilience and hybrid visual language.
