Pierre Picot (1948–2021) was a Franco-American artist raised in Paris and later based in Los Angeles, where he studied under Ed Ruscha and William Brice. A pivotal moment came in 2006 while teaching in France, where immersion in lush nature transformed his work. Using rainwater and Chinese ink, he created swirling, sublime landscapes. After returning to France in 2012, he painted windblown coastlines and meandering rivers.
Seeking Home—Full Speed into the Fog at Craig Krull Gallery features his final works—boats, docks, and seascapes—alongside cardboard ships, driftwood, and tempestuous scenes.
