Selections from the Collection presents works from MOCA’s holdings dating from the 1940s through the 1970s. Bringing together recent acquisitions and longstanding works, the exhibition includes painting, sculpture, and other media by artists such as Mark Rothko, Luchita Hurtado, Piet Mondrian, On Kawara, Robert Rauschenberg, Betye Saar, and Anne Truitt. The presentation examines artistic experimentation and global perspectives in the decades preceding MOCA’s founding.
