Marc Straus Gallery is pleased to present Seven Colombian Artists: Nueveochenta at MARC STRAUS, a collaborative exhibition with the titular Bogotá-based gallery.
The exhibition brings together seven Colombian artists selected by Bogotá-based Nueveochenta, offering a focused view of contemporary practice in and around Bogotá. Works range from Natalia Castañeda’s drawings of the changing Santa Isabel Volcano to Luis Hernández Mellizo’s carved book sculptures and Beatriz Olano’s varied painted forms. Additional contributions by Fernando Uhía, Jaime Tarazona, Juan Rodríguez Varón, and Jaime Ávila span color studies, landscape-inspired canvases, and urban photography.
