Martín Ramírez, a Mexican-born artist confined to psychiatric institutions for decades, developed a precise visual language using found materials. His drawings of arches, tunnels, figures, and riders form rhythmic, structured spaces that reflect confinement, memory, and migration. Repetition and pattern create a silent yet expressive dialogue, where movement and stasis, past and present, and inner life and imposed limits remain in constant tension.
