Swiss Institute presents Mona Filleul’s Sissy Institute, the artist’s first U.S. solo exhibition. Set within a sculptural environment, the show uses industrial and handmade materials to explore queer identity and digital embodiment. Filleul's works—featuring anime imagery, selfies, and circuitry—are paired with audio by collaborators. Through material invention and sound, the exhibition offers a refuge for queer expression amid increasing regulation and marginalization.
