David Nolan Gallery presents Sky from Below, Vian Sora’s second solo exhibition, opening March 7, 2025. Sora, an Iraqi-American artist, reflects on her return to the Middle East and her childhood memories of Baghdad. The works explore identity loss, imagining lush landscapes that embody a tension between creation and destruction. This exhibition precedes Sora’s museum tour, beginning in June 2025 at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. The artist's evocative new work continues her exploration of layered existences and shifting realities.
