Dan Levenson's SKZ Centimeter Studies Classroom presents paintings and furniture as artifacts from the State Art Academy, Zürich, a fictional Bauhaus-like school. Assignments on the centimeter, the metric unit tied to the speed of light, yield bands of concentric color radiating from a center, each canvas titled after an imagined student, shown beside deliberately aged, paint-spattered classroom furniture.
