SOL is an immersive installation by Luiza Gottschalk featuring 17 paintings set against deep wood-toned walls and a reflective metallic gold floor. Born in São Paulo and raised in the Serra da Mantiqueira, Gottschalk channels childhood memories of dense forest into multilayered compositions of color, texture, and affect. Cotton cloths laid onto primed canvas and worked by hand build richly tactile surfaces—paintings where memory, landscape, and emotion seem to surface.
