Solid At Room Temperature at Microscope Gallery presents works by artists using metal to explore vulnerability, protection, and identity. Through sculptures and assemblages, the artists address labor, gender roles, and political systems. Featured works include Rebecca Shapass’s tribute to miners, Athena LaTocha’s environmental commentary, and Tamiko Kawata’s reflection on women’s labor. The exhibition also includes pieces exploring masculinity, consumerism, and historical memory, using metal as both material and metaphor.
