Rodney McMillian
Some lives in the sunshine is a solo exhibition by Rodney McMillian presenting new sculptures, paintings, and works on paper examining the lasting effects of redlining and predatory lending in the United States. Using utilitarian and thrifted materials associated with domestic space, the works connect abstraction, landscape, and text to histories of racialized wealth inequality, environmental impact, and systemic power embedded in everyday objects and infrastructures.
