Inspired by Sun Ra’s alliterative libretto, Pruitt crafts deeply personal portraits rooted in Black diasporic culture, speculative fiction, and the sacred-profane duality. Coffee-dyed paper, amulets, and layered references transform his figures into vessels of care, resistance, and poetic complexity.
