Fredericks & Freiser presents Spires, Louisa Owen’s first New York solo. Using antique paper and wild rose thorns, Owen crafts fragile, towering sculptures evoking fortresses, reliquaries, and dreamlike architectures. Her ink and pastel drawings dissolve landscapes into liminal spaces. Through precarious forms and scarred surfaces, she explores vulnerability as strength, memory as structure, and the tension between impermanence and sanctuary.
