El Museo del Barrio presents Mestre Didi: Spiritual Form, the first major U.S. museum exhibition in 25 years devoted to the late Afro-Brazilian sculptor and spiritual leader. Featuring over 30 sculptures, the exhibition highlights Mestre Didi’s transformation of Candomblé ritual objects into powerful visual forms. It also includes works by key peers and contemporary artists, emphasizing the ongoing impact of African diasporic visual languages across generations.
