Spring Jewels brings together twenty-one modern and contemporary artists at Forum Gallery's temporary Fuller Building location, spanning early 20th-century works by Alexander Archipenko, Oscar Bluemner, and Max Weber through mid-century figuration by Chaim Gross, Raphael Soyer, and Gregory Gillespie, to Photorealist paintings by Robert Cottingham and Davis Cone. New studio works include a Frederick Brosen watercolor of Central Park, Brian Rutenberg's landscape abstraction, and a fresh Davis Cone painting of a Los Angeles Art Deco theater. Still lifes by Claudio Bravo and G. Daniel Massad are among the exhibition's highlights, alongside small-scale evocations of land and nature by William Beckman, Linden Frederick, and Alan Magee.
