For the first time in centuries, this historically significant Roman marble statue of the goddess Athena is on public view in a Tadao Ando-designed atrium. A composite figure, its head and body were carved during the reigns of two different Roman emperors, offering a window into ancient craftsmanship, restoration practice, and gender studies.
