Swimmers is a solo exhibition by Lauren Drescher presenting drypoint and relief prints centered on the perspective of the swimmer. Drawing on medieval and mystical imagery, the works depict mermaids, sirens, and sea creatures as autonomous, powerful figures. Produced using recycled materials, the prints reflect ecological awareness, material fragility, and the artist’s sustained engagement with aquatic environments.
