Ryan Driscoll: Tech Duinn takes its title from the Irish mythological dwelling where souls gather before passing to the afterlife, constructing a self-contained mythological system that explores death and the realms beyond. Frontal sentinel figures rendered with academic smoothness — evoking marble and cast forms — preside over dense constellations of serpents, flames, hybrid creatures, and radiant geometries. Monochrome surfaces are punctuated by concentrated color in eyes and flames, asserting mythological charge within a pictorial logic that absorbs classical sculpture, devotional icon painting, and Symbolist figuration into a single, fully resolved visual language.
