Davina Semo’s Tender Shield debuts glass bells alongside her cast bronze bells, hung from a custom wooden structure on the Benton’s outdoor patio, while monumental bronze reliefs run the length of the Art Hall. Playing heavy against delicate and light against dark, the work treats the bell as an object of invisible, resonant effect.
