Tending to the Root is a solo exhibition of new paintings by Maya Hewitt. Drawing from domestic life, memory, and imagination, the works present layered scenes where figures, interiors, and landscapes dissolve into fluid emotional spaces. Using accumulative surfaces and shifting registers of realism and fantasy, Hewitt reflects on care, unease, and ephemerality shaped by lived experience and observation.
