Terra Firma presents work by nine Boston University MFA Painting 2026 graduates — Raquel Philippe, Anna Pugh, Alessandra Pozzuoli, Young one (Hayoung Cheon), Steven Baldino, Scout Curtin, Samantha Hayslett, Kasey Ott, and Leah Nashel. Taking its title from the Latin for "solid ground," the exhibition positions painting as a shared terrain for both artist and viewer. One group engages the mutable qualities of memory, treating time as both content and material. Another filters observation through distortion and translation, producing painted realities where inner logic collides with external forces. Together the works reflect the expansiveness of painting now.
