In October 2025, Paula Cooper Gallery will present ceramic sculptures and wall reliefs by Tetsuya Yamada, exploring clay’s conceptual and material possibilities. His works play with surface illusions, transforming ceramics to mimic metals or fabric. Wall pieces feature textured, metallic-glazed indentations and melted glass beads forming vibrant patterns. Also included is Infinity (2015), a found-object piece reflecting Yamada’s engagement with Duchamp and Brancusi’s legacy.
