Thomas VanDyke Gallery, with Push Collage, presents Thaw Pieces, a solo exhibition of new collages by Joe Bertino. Using found Art Deco design elements, Bertino creates scenes that evoke the fragile transition from winter to early spring. Domestic objects transform into organic forms—a thermos becomes a sprouting seedling, a vase reveals a skeletal core—suggesting quiet signs of renewal as muted tones give way to small bursts of color.
