Calderón and Dinner Gallery present The Color of Shadows, a two-person exhibition featuring Massiel Mafes and Papo Colo, on view from February 6 to March 8. Mafes reconstructs family history through painting and collage, incorporating fabric and stories from her Cuban heritage. Colo, working between Puerto Rico and New York, integrates found materials and ritualistic practices to reimagine places beyond his experience. Both artists navigate memory’s fluidity, merging personal and collective histories.
