Brandished by student demonstrators as protest, THE FRIEDMANN EQUATIONS took on new meaning. Like all mathematics, equations are true independent of language. Can the same be said for sculpture? Sculpture must behave according to the principles of gravity, just like sneakers thrown over power lines. But maybe it ends there.
