Alexis Kyle Mitchell: The Goal of Our Health at JOAN presents her Los Angeles premiere of The Treasury of Human Inheritance alongside new films, sculptures, and archival works. Using analog film processed with bodily and organic materials, Mitchell explores illness, intergenerational inheritance, and bodily labor. The installation interrogates how histories of eugenics, science, and embodiment shape movement, care, and the material presence of bodies in time.
