The Mysterious Beauty of Everything presents drawings by Thomas Nozkowski (1944–2019) made between 1986 and 2016, curated by John Yau. The works on paper span gouache, graphite, ink, collage, colored pencil, and ballpoint pen. Each abstraction begins from something Nozkowski experienced directly, such as a hike, a poem, or a film, and the drawings rework familiar devices like the grid with a playful, intimate sense of scale.
