The Space Between Skins is a two-artist exhibition featuring new works by Wen Liu and Yesiyu Zhao. While Yesiyu Zhao’s canvases function as a diary for recording the physical manifestations of energetic exchanges, Wen Liu’s sculptures mimic archaeological subjects, casting specimens in resin to preserve and document articulations of the body. Together, their practices trace a shared human condition that lingers on the charged moment before something old transforms into something new.
