Deanna Evans Projects presents The Story of My Teeth, a solo exhibition by Lauren Portada. Inspired by Valeria Luiselli’s novel, Portada reflects on fragility, power, and perception. Drawing from childhood and early morning trail runs, her paintings emerge from quiet introspection, depicting everyday objects with emotional weight. Working on both sides of the canvas, her layered, altered surfaces invite contemplation of what is revealed, concealed, and transformed.
