The Venus Crusades marks Maria Yolanda Liebana’s return to Kravets Wehby Gallery with vivid new works rooted in fantasy, nostalgia, and maximalist excess. Inspired by Venus and the dance floor, the exhibition reclaims indulgence and defies conventional ideals of femininity. Drawing on Borges’ Aleph, Liebana envisions a reality where multiple selves coexist. Disco, motherhood, pop divas, and sacred icons collide in a lush realm of escape, expression, and unapologetic pleasure.
