Bao Vuong’s The Crossing at Ceysson & Bénétière in New York evokes memory, survival, and light as revelation. His nocturnal seascapes, rooted in his family's 1979 escape from Vietnam, are meditative spaces where darkness births light. These works embody transformation, echoing exile and rebirth. Through deep blacks and radiant glimmers, Vuong channels both trauma and hope, creating visual echoes of lives suspended between past and future, sea and sky, silence and salvation.
