Amy Talluto’s "The Weight of Colors" brings together paintings and sculptures populated by recurring symbols and characters that move freely between works: a tree with a single knot for an eye or mouth that acts as a watching figure, a contorted, stacked “Blockhead,” and the eyes from Ingres’s "Princesse de Broglie", which remind the artist of her mother. Juxtaposition, after poet Pierre Reverdy, drives the images.
