David Kordansky Gallery presents The World Tangled in You, Maia Cruz Palileo’s first New York exhibition with the gallery. Through large- and small-scale paintings, Palileo explores family, migration, colonial violence, and cultural identity. Drawing from Philippine-American War archives, they layer, repeat, and abstract historical imagery, using painting to reimagine nonlinear narratives and transform inherited histories through memory and personal experience.
