The World Tangled in You is Maia Cruz Palileo's first New York exhibition with David Kordansky Gallery. Through large- and small-scale paintings, Palileo explores family, migration, colonial violence and cultural identity, layering, repeating and abstracting imagery from Philippine-American War archives to reimagine inherited histories through memory and personal experience.
