Time Spent Looking marks Max Jahn’s first solo exhibition in New York. Beginning with reflections in a mirror from his family’s Berlin antique shop, Jahn develops portraits, self portraits, and still lifes on copper plates. Painted in extended sittings under specific light conditions, the works draw on personal and art historical references tied to Motzstrasse in Berlin.
