LATITUDE Gallery presents Xi Li’s debut solo exhibition in New York, “to Put an Image in Front of the Thing,” featuring silkscreened photographs that investigate the interplay of archival imagery, memory, and perception. Through scanning, printing, and rephotographing, Li transforms industrial and instructional visuals into layered compositions that question the nature of personal affinity and distance. The works explore light, shadow, and the act of representation as a means of reinterpreting memory.
