To Save and to Destroy at BANK NYC, curated by Qingyuan Deng, gathers 15 artists exploring the instability of historical truth. Inspired by Viet Thanh Nguyen’s writings, the exhibition examines how memory distorts, reconfigures, and returns with urgency. With works spanning mediums, the show reflects on failure, desire, and the recursive nature of history—arguing that memory is fragmented, melancholia persists, and truth often slips between the seen and the unknowable.
