To—you know—you is a site specific installation by Sarah Cain presented in the Barbara and Gerson Bakar Atrium at BAMPFA. Improvised on site, the work extends the artist’s intuitive painting practice across wall and floor while incorporating painted canvases, seating elements, and a stained glass intervention within the architecture. Drawing from varied visual sources, the installation considers painting as an expansive, embodied, and spatial practice.
