Sperone Westwater presents Towers of Silence, Wolfgang Laib’s ninth solo exhibition at the gallery. Featuring five monumental beeswax sculptures shaped like houses, towers, and ziggurats, the works reflect Laib’s focus on ritual, meditation, and impermanence. Organic materials like beeswax convey transcendence and inner stillness. Also on view are photographs of sacred sites and new symbolic works on paper that expand on the spiritual resonance of his sculptures.
