Tread Water is jiwoong’s first solo exhibition with the gallery. Using photographic archives, welded metal, and altered ready-mades, the artist reflects on the life of his late uncle, whose quiet isolation after an accident becomes a metaphor for treading water. The works draw on memories, family images, and the architecture of their Seoul home to consider trauma, repetition, and transformation.
