Opening January 31, Treasures of the Medieval World features over forty rare works of sculpture, painting, ceramics, textiles, and goldsmithing from medieval Europe. Highlights include a unique carved Virgin and Child by Tilman Riemenschneider, Alejo Fernandez's The Apparition of Christ to the Virgin, and a Bavarian Saint George sculpture. The exhibition also includes a rare English alabaster altarpiece, Portuguese royal silver, and Turkish carpets, reflecting the artistic and cultural exchange of the medieval period.
