Ivan Morley’s "Trees" presents new paintings drawn from the landscape around his Big Sur home and studio. Each work begins as a plein-air watercolor on unstretched canvas and is built up section by section with machine-embroidered thread. Redwoods, ridgelines and night skies fill works such as "Tanbarks," "Backyard" and "Dark Watchers," most of them facing inland, away from the ocean.
