This exhibition spans nearly fifty years of Troy Brauntuch’s practice, bringing together recent oil paintings with earlier works using photographic processes, ink, pastel, conté, and raw pigment. The works examine how images are constructed, mediated, and destabilized, questioning their relationship to history, memory, and authority. Through motifs such as museum display cases and intimate personal imagery, Brauntuch challenges the idea of images as fixed or transparent carriers of meaning.
