True Colors brings together eight painters—Meghan Brady, Mary DeVincentis, Jai Hart, Riad Miah, Ilse Sørensen Murdock, Julia Rooney, Cordy Ryman, and Paul Sevigny—whose work approaches color as structure, sensation, atmosphere, and affect. In a moment of political turmoil and digital saturation, the exhibition seeks solace in painting's capacity for pleasure and intensity, while probing color's emotional, optical, and psychological potential. What is at stake is not color as appearance, but color as feeling.
