Vestige gathers Abbey Muza, Jennifer Carvalho, Ben Cowan, and Fabiola Jean-Louis around the image as something perpetually in motion — traveling across time, material, and meaning. Muza's dye-printed woven textiles shift between clarity and abstraction; Carvalho layers half-remembered art historical references into luminous surfaces; Cowan compresses sacred iconography into Gothic-framed scenes; Jean-Louis embeds diasporic and Vodou histories within baroque portraiture. Historic manuscripts and medieval miniatures complete the exhibition as active participants rather than backdrop.
